Massachusetts August 18, 1775 12s PCGS Apparent Very Fine 35.
Getting a grip on a census with notes, this rare is quite the challenge. Approaching ten years in to third party grading, PMG has graded just one example, and PCGS has graded only this and one other, both apparent. PCGS mentions "Restorations" which are present but of little consequence. This is the second example that we have sold, even though this is the "common" Sword in Hand issue. The Newman value for this note is $7500 in this grade, which is likely just about right.
