Massachusetts 1779 3s/6d Choice About New. A beautiful example of the Rising Sun design, which was both engraved and printed by Paul Revere. On this denomination, the sun vignette appears at the right of the note. The note is well signed, and it has unusually nice face and back margins. The note also has very sharp printing quality of all its elements including the often weakly printed Pine Tree. On this example, the Tree is dark and bold with even its individual needles distinct. While not technically Uncirculated due to two very light folds, the note has an appearence that blows away most Uncirculated examples.
