    Description

State of Maryland Exchange Certificate April 8, 1791 PCGS Apparent Very Fine 30.
A very attractive example of this Exchange Certificate that was made out for 350 pounds and dated April 8, 1791. It is wonderfully printed and signed with great embossing seen on the back. PCGS notes some small edge splits and back hinge repairs and mounting remnants. Thomas Harwood signed this as treasurer and he also signed Maryland colonial notes from the 1770's.
