Description

Rare Maryland Red Money Note - Very High Grade for the Type

Maryland May 10, 1781 5s PCGS Apparent Very Fine 30.
All Maryland "Red Money" notes are extremely scarce, and this is the best of the three pieces we have handled. The apparent grade has been assigned for restorations, which appear to be nothing more than the strengthening of the center fold. Both signatures are strong, and original and the overall appearance is excellent. This is the finest by ten points of any that we have previously handled.
