    Maryland May 10, 1781 2s 6d PMG Very Fine 25 Net.
One of the very few "Red Money" Maryland notes of any denomination that we have been able to offer over the years. In fact, we have auctioned only two previously of this denomination, this note in January 2009 for $3,220 and a PMG Fine 12 example that brought $2,990 in September 2009. The former is back once again. It has been repaired at upper right along the top edge. The note remains a solid VF and is extremely rare in this state of preservation. It is a very important piece for the Maryland specialist or the advanced Colonial generalist.
