Description

Maryland January 1, 1767 $2 PCGS Apparent Very Fine 20. A far more pleasing example of this scarce 1767 issue than the grade would indicate. Both comments about the tape repaired edges and center split repair appear to be relatively minor and of little consequence considering the condition rarity of this note. Most examples from this grade are wretched G-VG notes that have a plethora of problems. This happy exception is a solid Very Fine note with the aforementioned minor issues. It is crisp and well printed with a sizeable left indent. Considering that nice, problem free VF's are going for four figure prices we would expect several hundred from this example.

    Estimate: $400 - up.
