Maryland 1733 15 Shilling & 20 Shilling Sheets Two Examples
    15s-15s-15s-15s-15s & 20s-20s-20s-20s-20s
We have offered an uncut sheet on this number only once before. That About New example with edge tears of varying lengths brought $1,725 over seven years ago. Tonight's first sheet grades New, with some edge wear including a reattached lower left corner tip. The second sheet has corner folds and a horizontal bend through the fourth note, and it grades About New. Edge chipping is also noticed and it is mostly restricted to the first note. There are a few dispersed edge tears, the longest being approximately a half an inch. Remainders are all that exist of Maryland's first issue of 1733, and only a few of these sheets have not been cut up over the years. (Total: 2 sheets)
