    Description

January 1, 1767, $1/6, Maryland, MD-39, VG-Fine. These 1767 notes appear much less frequently than the 1770 and 1774 notes, especially the fractional denominations. This note is particularly interesting because it has been backed by a partial newspaper column reporting on Britain's Bill to impose a tax on the American Colonies. This gives this note added historical appeal.
