Maryland March 1, 1770 $1/9 PCGS Choice About New 55.
A very nice example for an issue with the majority of survivors grading below VF. This one was from the bottom edge of the sheet and it contains the full bottom selvage along with the original deckled edge. These notes were printed by Anne Catherine and William Green. On all of the other denominations, the printing credit is, "Printed by A.C. & W. Green." On this $1/9, Anne's full name is printed out. The only instance we know of where a woman has been credited for printing and/or engraving a Colonial note. Extraordinary grade, boldly signed, and very attractive.
