    Maryland June 8, 1780 $1/2 PCGS Very Fine 25.
An extremely rare June 8, 1780 Revolutionary War period Maryland currency issue known as "Black Money." This issue being so named due to its thick dark black printed outer border designs. Holder notes restorations per a sealed centerfold split. Overall, this note appears well centered on its face and its reverse side clearly shows all of its typeset designed border designs being well within very large margins on all sides. Fully Signed by Frederick Green and Thomas Johnson, Jr. which are clearly readable in medium brown. This historic "Black Money" issue note has superior eye appeal to the Newman plate illustration for this issue. An important Colonial Currency rarity on the State of Maryland that is lacking in virtually every collection.
