    Maryland June 28, 1780 $20 PCGS Choice New 63PPQ.
Maryland is the third most difficult state for guaranteed notes, exceeded in rarity by only New York and Pennsylvania. When they are encountered, they are generally partially signed remainders. This $20 note is fully executed with the serial number, two signatures on the face, and the guarantee signed on the back. It is also the Top Pop piece at both services combined. We've sold its closest competitor in the population report, a PCGS 62PPQ in January 2015 for $1645. This far nicer and more important piece should do considerably better.
