    Description

    Maryland December 7, 1775 $1/9 PMG Choice Fine 15.
This emission was intended to replace the issue of July 26, 1775 and for military purposes. The notes were intended to be redeemed in specie by January 1,1786. This issue was printed by Frederick Green, whose mother and business partner, Anne Catherine Green, had died in March, 1775. This note has seen time in circulation with a piece missing out of the left margin and the usual signs of wear. The note, however, has pretty good margins and clear signatures of Duckett and Hammond and is free of repairs or additional impairments of any significance.
