DescriptionGeorgia October 16, 1786 20s PCGS Apparent Very Fine 30.
John E. Smith of Augusta was the printer of this attractive note that was printed on Dutch paper and was the highest denomination for this final Georgia issue. This example measures approximately 3 1/4 inches by 6 1/4 inches, and the paper remains bright. Abernethie engraved the interesting vignette that features the 1777 Georgia Constitution along with the "PRO BONO PUBLICO" (For the public good) design. The apparent grade has been assigned for "Edge Damage, Bottom Reinforced," both of which are accurate but do not materially affect the appearance of this VF.
Estimate: $900 - up.
