DescriptionGeorgia May 4, 1778 $30 PCGS Choice About New 58.
Prior to this note, the highest graded example we sold was an AU 53. This note is tied with one other at PCGS, and the highest example that PMG has graded is a 55. The note is very well signed, beautifully margined, and would have received the full Gem grade save for one extremely light fold which passes through the vignette and then seems to die out. An exceptional Georgia note that could easily realize a runaway price. In September 2008 we sold an XF 40 for $1610, which will just be the starting point here.
