    Description

    Georgia May 4, 1778 $20 PMG About Uncirculated 53.
A gorgeous-looking note with huge margins and readily apparent deep, original embossing. A sheet fold horizontally toward the top accounts for the 53 grade. These bills of credit were to be paid from the proceeds of Tory estates that were forfeited. The notes were printed by W. Lancaster in Savannah. The Latin on the back of this $20, NEMO ME IMPUNE LACESSET, translates as "No one will provoke me with impunity."
