    Description

Georgia June 8, 1777 $6 PCGS Apparent Very Fine 30.
A black "in" variety note, this example has extremely low serial number 35 and traces of embossing are observed. The seal illustrates a palmetto tree being crushed by a millstone, along with the Latin motto Oppressa Surgit, which roughly translates to, "After being crushed, it rises." All five signatures remain quite bold and, despite some small edge splits and minor damage in the top right corner, the note remains quite attractive.
