Extremely Rare 1777 No Resolution Date $4 Note

    Georgia 1777 $4 GA-86 PCGS Very Fine 35PPQ.
This Georgia $4 Part of the 1777-No Resolution Date emission has a blue-green Liberty Cap seal with the motto Libertas Carior Auro (Freedom More Valuable than Gold). All of the handwritten information is bold, including all five signatures, and the paper is bright and fresh. A period annotation, along with a lightly penciled Chapman notation and price from long ago, appears on the back. The $4 is excessively rare, with only four confirmed examples known to us at this time. This note appeared in two Stacks Bowers sales in 2013 and 2018 and is making its third appearance tonight. A rare opportunity to acquire this great Georgia and colonial rarity.
