Georgia 1776 $2 PCGS Apparent Extremely Fine 40.
A portion of this issue had the seals transposed on the $2 and $4 notes and this $2 is an example of that as it bears the Liberty Cap emblem intended for the $4 denomination rather than the floating jugs design. A note with nice eye appeal, all five signatures remain bold and the emblem within the blue seal displays great detail. This example received an apparent grade due to a repaired tear at top center along with small edge tears. The current edition of the Newman reference lists a value of $5500 for these notes in Extremely Fine condition.
