Georgia 1776 $1 Green Seal PCGS Very Fine 30PPQ.
Not priced above VF 25 in Friedberg and valued at $3,000. Newman also values the note at $3,000 in VF and with a $5,250 price in XF. Catalog valuations are typically reserved for only problem-free and solid examples of the grade, but this 30PPQ is an extraordinarily nice VF, with strong signatures, bold seal color and excellent margins. With few auction appearances of wholly original examples in the Very Fine to Extremely Fine grades to gauge levels set in the price guides, our experience points to this handsome Georgia note reaching or exceeding $2,000.
