    Description

Broadly Margined Fractional Denomination Georgia Colonial

Georgia 1776 $1/4 PMG Choice Extremely Fine 45 Net.
A terrific looking Georgia piece from the two note Fractional Dollar issue of 1776. The Net grade is from being repaired, which appears to be a tiny sealed split at the top of the note. The note is still one of the nicer examples we have seen from this issue as we have only sold a single AU example this decade. That note, graded PCGS Apparent AU 55, sold multiple times for an average price of close to $900. Friedberg prices this note at $2,100 in AU with no higher grade listed.
