    Description

Delaware 6 Pence PCGS Superb Gem New 68PPQ

Delaware May 1, 1777 6d PCGS Superb Gem New 68PPQ.
PCGS has yet to release a population report for Colonial and Continental currency, but PMG has not graded any examples of this note at this level and we rather suspect that this is the lone example PCGS has graded. It's clearly cut from an original sheet for the purpose of retaining as much margin as possible. The bottom margin, in fact, measures well more than one inch and goes right out to the deckled edge of the sheet. The note is well signed, well numbered, and perfectly printed. A simply spectacular piece of Colonial currency.
