DescriptionDelaware May 1, 1777 5s Fine.
The new Delaware coat of arms is seen on the face and a sheaf of wheat on the back. This note was signed by John Clarke and Richard Lockwood in black ink and the ink remains bold. This example was mounted at one time as there is a large paper pull and mounting remnants on the back. A few small edge tears are noticed, but they are consistent with the grade.
