DescriptionDelaware January 1, 1753 2s 6d PCGS Apparent Fair 02.
Not a thing of beauty, but this is the first example of these notes that we have been able to offer. The apparent grade was assigned due to splits, having been backed, and pinned. Unfortunately, the backing obscures the Franklin imprint. The trustees who were appointed to superintend the new issue of paper money were required to give bond in the amount of £1000. Surviving examples of these notes are rare and are listed without values in any grade level in the Newman reference and are simply listed as "Very Rare" in the latest Friedberg book.
