Delaware May 1, 1777 Double Sheet of Sixteen. This is the only complete sheet that we have ever seen or heard of from this issue. It is lightly quarter-folded, with a few stray handling marks, and edge splits that do not touch any notes. Taken individually, the notes are about half Choice About New and half Superb Gem, based on where the light sheet folds fall. There are two notes each of the eight different denominations: 1s, 18d, 2s6d, 4s, 5s, 6s, 10s, and 20s. Were this sheet to be cut, there would be over $10,000 worth of individual notes and in fact our consignor only reluctantly agreed to allow this to be offered in its original sheet form. This is an incredible display item or put-away piece for the future.
