    Delaware March 1, 1734 20s PMG Good 4 Net.
£12,000 in indented Bills of Credit were issued under the Act of March 1, 1734. They were issued in denominations ranging from 1s to 20s. These notes, whose designs included elaborate floral and animal cuts as well as the royal coat of arms, were developed and engraved by Thomas Leech and were printed by none other than Benjamin Franklin. This 20s note obviously saw more than its fair share of time in circulation and its very survival is a miracle of sorts. PMG notes the obvious- the note is very tattered with a significant percentage ot the note simply missing. What appear to be five much more modern repairs have been made in an effort to stabilize what remains. Survivors from this entire series can presently be counted on one hand and this is certainly a case where rarity trumps condition. It is problematic to determine if or when another example will appear, yet alone in better condition. This historic note is worthy of a place of honor in any colonial collection and need make no apologies for its condition. A rare opportunity to obtain a great colonial paper money rarity.
