    Description

Delaware January 1, 1776 4s PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ. Wide margins are observed on this appealing example that earned the EPQ designation from PMG. The signers were McKinly, Collins, and Manlove. The printer, James Adams, also engraved the cuts. He worked in Philadelphia for Benjamin Franklin & David Hall for seven years previously. Only 12,000 of these 4 shillings notes were printed. They were printed on the same paper that was used for Continental Currency. A sheaf of wheat is illustrated on the back.
