Continental Currency September 26, 1778 Full Sheet of Sixteen PCGS Apparent Very Fine 35.
A lovely uncut sheet of sixteen notes, comprising two examples of each of the eight denominations that were part of this issue. Contemporary numeric notations are observed in the wide selvage between the two panes of eight notes. The sheet was folded in numerous places, and small holes developed at the intersection of some of the folds. PCGS assigned the apparent grade due to stains along with edge and internal splits. The four notes that are stained, $60, $50, $20, and $8, were apparently on the outside of the folded group and became toned on their faces. A wonderful piece of history.
