    Description

Continental Currency November 2, 1776 $3 PCGS New 62PPQ. Beautifully printed on both sides, this example has loads of eye appeal. Great detail is seen on both the emblem and the nature print. The emblem features an eagle and a heron fighting along with the motto EXITUS IN DUBIO EST (the outcome is in doubt). The nature print is skeletonized elm and maple fruit. Benjamin Levy and Thomas Donnellan were the signers. Although it was believed for many years that Continental Currency signer Benjamin Jacobs was Jewish, research has indicated that was incorrect and therefore that leaves Levy as the only Jewish signer. Hall and Sellers of Philadelphia printed these notes on paper containing mica flakes and blue threads.
