    Description

Nearly Superb PCGS Gem New 66PPQ Continental

Continental Currency May 9, 1776 $3 PCGS Gem New 66PPQ.
"A stunning looking Continental with every possible positive attribute that this type can have. Bold signatures, one in black and one in red, appear on this $3 note that has a vignette illustrating an eagle and a heron fighting. The motto is EXITUS IN DUBIO EST (the outcome is in doubt). The nature print is skeletonized elm and maple fruit." This was our description when we sold this same note for $14,100 in our 2013 Central States sale.
