    Description

Continental Currency May 20, 1777 $2 PCGS Apparent Extremely Fine 45.
A scarce issue and a scarce denomination within the issue. This is the first "United States" issue where the words "United Colonies" have been eliminated. The Apparent grade has been assigned for enhanced signatures which, if accurate, is so well executed as to be meaningless. Neither grading service has seen an Uncirculated example of this note, nor have we. XF is a terrific grade!
