    Description

Continental Currency May 10, 1775 $20 PMG Very Good 10 Net.
The assigned grade seems harshly conservative on this very attractive marbled edge note. There are three heavy vertical folds, all of which have been reinforced, which engendered the "split repairs" comment, but the Net 10 grade is unnecessarily severe. The note has the visual appeal of a Very Fine, the marbling is broad and untouched by repair or restoration, the signatures are strong, and even the original embossing remains evident. If this note sells anywhere near the VG 10 price, it should be considered an extreme bargain.
