Continental Currency July 22, 1776 $30 PMG Choice Uncirculated 64.
Both services combined have graded seven Uncirculated examples, with none grading higher than 64. Both services together have graded a total of 50 examples, with a single 64 at PCGS and this and one other at PMG. The margins are huge, the signatures strong, the paper bright, and all three vignettes perfectly sharp. While the 64 grade is almost certainly accurate, the note has the visual impact of a perfect gem. Seven years ago we auctioned the other PMG 64 for $2,530. This note is in a different class, and the market is dramatically different.
