Continental Currency July 22, 1776 $30 PCGS Choice About New 58PPQ.
A stunning example of this scarce Continental issue which displays superb print quality, and incredibly well-executed signatures and serial number as well as wonderful margins all around on both sides. We recently sold a PCGS Apparent Extremely Fine 40 for $558.13, and this note is far superior both in terms of technical grade and certainly aesthetic beauty. A wreath on a tomb is pictured in the emblem with the motto SI RECTE FACIES (If you act righteously you will be honored after death). Although the census figures do not back us up, we have always felt this July 22nd 1776 issue to be one of the most difficult Continental Issues to obtain in high grade. This one has the full look of a blazing Gem with just the barest of corner folds holding it away from that grade.
