Continental Currency July 22, 1776 $2 PCGS Very Fine 25.
This is the third scarcest issue behind only the April 1778 Yorktown issue and the May 1777 issue. The two dollar denomination has always been a scarcer denomination within this emission as it is the lowest one with no aces being printed. A very attractive example with fold counters likely considering this to have the visual impact of an Extremely Fine note or very close to it. The last similar example we sold was nearly two years ago in a PMG VF 30 holder which brought $299. Continental prices have escalated dramatically since that time and so have our estimates.
