Continental Currency February 26, 1777 $5 PMG Gem Uncirculated 65 EPQ.
Alone as the second-finest known at both services combined. PCGS has graded two Uncs., a 63 and a 64. PMG has graded 5 Uncs.: two 63s, this 65, and a single 66 above it. We auctioned that 66 as part of our Midnight Ride Collection, and the note brought $2,875 long before the strong market for Continentals began. We would expect this 65EPQ to far surpass that number this evening.
