    Description

Continental Currency February 26, 1777 $4 PMG Choice Uncirculated 64.
Both grading services combined have graded five Uncirculated examples. PCGS has graded a 61, a 63, and a 64. PMG has graded a single Gem - a 65 - with this note right below it. This piece stands alone at the top of PCGS census and second when both services are combined. It is another great-looking piece with broad margins and strong eye appeal. The vignette of the boar running onto a spear is remarkably sharp, as is every letter of the Latin motto, "Aut Mors Aut Vita Decora," which Newman translates as, "Either Death or an Honorable Life."
