The Finest Yet Graded at Both Services Combined - February 26, 1777 $30 PCGS 66 PPQ

Continental Currency February 26, 1777 $30 PCGS Gem New 66PPQ.
This piece stands alone at the top of the population report for both services combined. Below this note, the closest competitor is a 64. PMG has graded two 65s with nothing higher. We sold one of those 65s in September of 2009 as part of our "Midnight Ride" Auction for $3,220. This piece is every bit as pretty and perfect as you would expect from a 66PPQ. No need to list the attributes individually; all are as good as it gets. In our opinion, even at this lofty level, the note seems a touch undergraded.
