    Description

Continental Currency February 17, 1776 $2/3 Very Choice New. This pretty Fractional Continental comes extremely close to the full Gem grade. It's bright, clean and well printed, with a strong red signature and serial number. These Fractional Denomination Continentals are extremely popular with collectors due in the most part to the use of Ben Franklin's sundial vignette on the face and the thirteen chain links, containing the names of the original Thirteen Colonies, surrounding "We Are One," on the back. These devices were adapted for the 1776 Continental Dollar coins and the 1787 Fugio Cent.
