    Description

Continental Currency February 17, 1776 $2/3 Gem New. A simply incredible example of a Fractional Continental, with terrific margins, ideal colors, a bold red signature and serial number, and razor-sharp print quality. It's as nice as any example of the type that we have ever had the pleasure of handling. It's from the left-hand edge of the sheet, and contains the overly large sheet selvage margin. The other three margins are also far broader than normally seen on this issue. Fractional Continentals are not rare, but they are scarce above Extra Fine, and genuinely rare as perfect Gems. This example is fit for the finest of collections.
