Contemporarily Written "Proof Sheet" in the Signature Block

Continental Currency Counterfeit Detector January 14, 1779 $20 PMG About Uncirculated 55 EPQ.
What would otherwise be a reasonably ordinary detector note is taken to a whole new level by the words, "Proof Sheet," written in the signature block contemporaneously. This was done on a very few detector notes, apparently as an additional safeguard preventing the notes from being falsely filled in. That's conjecture rather than hard fact, but it certainly seems logical as the blue color was often not sufficient to prevent attempts at fraud. If memory serves (and memory recently has been following behind the server, sweeping up crumbs), we have not handled another of these.
