    Description

Continental Currency April 11, 1778 $40 Contemporary Counterfeit PCGS About New 50.
Counterfeits were a tool of warfare used by an enemy to devalue the currency of their foe. As such, they are important historical relics, as heavily counterfeited issues were often discontinued quickly. This piece is a wonderful example of the difference between authentic and counterfeit notes. The "nature" print on back is crude and far too geometric when compared to an authentic example.
