    Description

Continental Currency April 11, 1778 $30 PCGS Choice New 63PPQ.
A superb Yorktown type note with exceptional printing for the series on both sides. The margins on the face are superior to most, and the back is perfectly centered with broad margins. Excellent embossing and the signatures are well accomplished and bold. This is the finest graded by PCGS, and the next highest is Choice New 62. A splendid Yorktown type in this upper tier condition. That PCGS 62PPQ realized $3450 in our 2010 Auction of the Patriot American Collection. Earlier this year, a PCGS 58PPQ auctioned for $7343. This example is alone at the top of the population report at both services combined.
