Continental Currency September 26, 1778 $5 Double Sheet of Sixteen Blue Counterfeit Detectors. To our best knowledge, this sheet, which was formally a part of the F.C.C. Boyd collection, is the only double counterfeit detector sheet that we have ever seen or heard of. The sheet has the normal fold and two needle holes in between the panes as well as one other hole, but virtually every single note is a Superb Gem. Taken individually, there are $8,000 worth of Detector notes contained in this possibly unique sheet, although we would hate to think of it as a cut up item. A treasure for the advanced collector or any forward thinking buyer.
