    Continental Currency September 26, 1778 $20 Blue Counterfeit Detector Choice About New. This is note is separated from the Superb grade by only a single light horizontal fold. The note is magnificently bright and a beautiful example of a Detector note. These were produced to be given to merchants so that they could compare notes to genuine examples for the purpose of identifying counterfeits. They were printed on blue paper so they could not be falsely signed, numbered, and spent.
