    Continental Currency November 29, 1775 $2 PMG About Uncirculated 53.
    The second issue comprised $3,000,000 in new notes and $10,000 in replacement notes for worn bills no longer fit for circulation. 83,611 notes were authorized for each denomination from $1 to $8. The $2 design has an emblem depicting grain being threshed with a flail and the motto TRIBULATIO DITAT (Affliction improves it) while the back has a nature print of a raspberry and two filbert leaves. The bright note has straight even margins and bright paper with strong penned information.
