DescriptionContinental Currency November 29, 1775 $1 PCGS Very Fine 30.
Gigantic margins are seen on this much tougher Continental Ace which bears solid signatures of Coombe and Morris Jr. The $1 note is considered the scarcest and most desirable from this early emission. The two most recent comparable results we have are from 2011 where we sold a PCGS VF 30 for $299 and a PCGS VF 35 for $373.75. Both of the aforementioned notes were relatively tightly margined and neither displayed the visual impact of this sensational piece.
