DescriptionContinental Currency November 2, 1776 $5 PCGS Choice About New 58.
This entire issue is scarce in high grade and this note is right at the edge of being fully Uncirculated. The emblem on this note is of a bleeding hand that has been pricked by thorns while gathering food. The Latin motto is SUSTINE VEL ABSTINE (Either survive or give up). The note is signed in red by Benjamin Levy, who is the sole Jewish signer found on Continental Currency. Benjamin Jacobs had been considered to be the second Jewish signer until recent research found otherwise.
