    May 9, 1776 $8 PCGS Gem New 66PPQ

Continental Currency May 9, 1776 $8 PCGS Gem New 66PPQ.
A spectacular specimen of this tougher note and especially so in high grade. It is a Gem with premium paper quality that includes a first-rate dark printing and bold signatures. The margins are more than ample all the way around, too. Neither PCGS nor PMG have had a nicer example come through their offices, with the nearest competitor being a pair of PCGS 65PPQ notes. The last time we auctioned one of these 65PPQ pieces it brought $3,525. This even higher graded Gem will surely bring even more.
