Continental Currency May 9, 1776 $2-$3 Uncut Pair PMG About Uncirculated 50.
The penmanship is bold on both pieces of this vertical uncut pair that is the first example of these two denominations in this format to participate in our auctions. The only handling observed is the fold between the two notes. Also, the left margin is extra wide on this dark printed piece. It has minor stains, but still remains attractive. The serial number for both of these two notes is 13368. An upcoming lot in this auction session also has a $4-$5 uncut pair with serial 13368.
