DescriptionContinental Currency May 9, 1776 $1 PCGS Very Fine 20.
A bright and pretty well-printed example of this always desirable Continental note. The $1 denomination was only found in five of the eleven Continental emissions and it has always been immensely popular with collectors. The only somewhat recent comp we can find is a PCGS VF 35 that sold for $411.25 a year and a half ago. The strength of the Continental market has continued unabated during the intervening time and it would not shock us to see this note approach that price level.
